Maybe I should update more regularly since the exams are over. Oh well.

I really dislike rehearsals at the evening. I also regret participating in the rock concert. Oh well.

I shifted my hugh shelf that has a mirror next to my piano so I can see my self playing. Oh well.

Today is the last day of October. Say hello to november and goodbye to october. Oh well.

I"m going to miss seeing your smile. Oh well.

Every sentence ends with an "ohwell. Oh well.

Oh well,

Going to rehearsals today! In the Expression Music New branch in Rimba. I also heard news that Expression Music International has been registered in Singapore. Thats sort of good news.

I'll aim my 4000th tweet for you P. (:

Daily Bugle:Orchestra Citta di Firenze

My exams are finally over. Two weeks of studying, two weeks of testing and now , two months of holidays.

I went to see Toyota Classics last night. With the Italian Orchestra Citta di Firenze.

Waiting in the car driving to the International Convention Centre. The night lights sort of synchronize to the Vanessa Mae CD we have in our stereo. Nothing else but that, and the sound of our car.

It was raining lightly and the splatters of raindrop seems like ice cracking. But the cloudless night sky made it seem like an impossible event to be raining. I was very excited for this is my first time to spectate a live orchestra. And from Italy!

We took the shutter service to the Centre as we waved goodbye to our parents who drove my sister and I there. People in black ties and coats and pretty dresses were everywhere. There was an old couple dressed like they were going to see a safari, but I guess its their way of interpreting music as exciting as a safari.

As we walked the red carpet, ushers in black coats greeted us good evening. Everyone was smiling. That liven up the mood of the evening. We took some pictures at the refreshment hall. It was a huge hall for just refreshments.

The orchestra was simple magical. Everything so together, so sound and so lively. The tenor was even more magical to be able to sing louder than an orchestra. Playing classics composed in Italy and some traditional Bruneian music arranged for orchestra.

Even the percussionist was full of emotions during the concert. Playing the triangle like it was a serious job. I took a picture with him and got his auto graph at the end.

AND ....

Today I took my Grade 5 Theory exam. It had such easy question. But I think thats because I did alot and alot of past years.

On the way back, the sky was like a still picture of godly clouds. Extreme details such like marble on one side and on the other, with proneness of rain. The sky is beautiful.Music Is beautiful. You're Beautiful <3

Evening edition: In the Dark

Today as I was practicing piano. And Melody was speaking on the phone (for two hours already) , the electricity was cut. Inconveniently. At the same time my parents went out. Well I know how to put the power back on, but then, the dark was fun =D

The spot light effect. Since  I couldn't see the piano.

Sister stood on chair.

Sister fit behind the space behind the piano. LOL

Lemme tell you for a while that dark is fun. But it gets annoying, you'll start to sweat, there'll mosquitoes. You can't take a shower (dark, not heater xD ) .

Evening edition:Energy Required for this post to happen

It is a very unfortunate thing that we are taking a physics test tomorrow. Because 10C did poorly. And its not even a retest. Its a test that will be averaged with our previous test.

This is how I look to study. Using computer, listening to mozart and doing studies. However , at some point I will quit studying and start to use the computer.

Evening Edition: The Knowing.

Now , I know none of you actually like classical music. Or know what is classical music.

To tell you in summary, classical music is the origins of all music.

Every single piece no matter how complex and lengthy it is, contains a motive and a story. You might think its boring, sad, gay or whatever. But to every person, there will be one classical piece that touches your heart like no other music. Without classical music, there won't be pop, no rock, not even music.

Well, the movie The Knowing and The Fall features Beethoven's 2nd movement of the 7th symphony. Which to me, is really epic stuff. Check it out =P

Then suddenly I turned on my mozart, and felt relatively smarter. I will ask Faiz in school. How smart is that? Proven: MOZART HELPS STUDENTS IN NEED.

My life is awesome. Now I know none of you is interested in this, but, dad's buying me an android and mom bought me antique sheet music.

The solo recital of mine in empire is confirmed, A november 30 during High tea. See you then. =D

Daily Bugle:Evening Edition

Remember when I said I frozed a daisy? Heres the picture of it =P. Well the flower just blew in to smokes when it melted. So cool. I lost the insect Ice Cubes. It was too hazy to see through it anyways.

My dad goes to Miri everyweek. And all the time he would tell me ,in the car, to look at these beautiful afterglows of the sun. I prefer the morning clouds and the rain clouds than the sun set clouds but they're all equally captivating.

Passing by the bridge and taking a photo of the boats.
So elusive.
Now this one has to be awesome. Look at the clouds.
And the sun right in the middle of the photo.

My dad takes cool photos. But it takes the right time and right place to do so.
When I returned from KK, my mom gave me these books. Lang Lang's biography hand signed by him. So cool. =P

It was a belated birthday present. Mom said the dealer was a bitch.

Below is the lonely road to KK. Pretty cool if you ask me =P.

I never noticed that this tree was heart shaped until Hazel noticed.
May said this tree look lonely. Ofcourse. There's only one heart.
And also a long few weeks ago was Keasha's birthday party. Having the gig under the hot sun and all. Below is not an airfilled balloon. Its a  WATER BALLOON.
Me and yousof and Coana made it. (its that how to spell his name?)
We try to throw it but it explodes before it hits anything
and the water just keeps flying forward.

So cool.

Daily Bugle:Not so Daily.

YAY! Internet is back. I can finally blog.

Today I caught this wasp-fly kinda thing. It landed first on liyana's head. Than Yousof took half its life away. I took it home and froze it =P. I've already frozen a daisy and a spider. Damn its cool! But I'm not a freak. Just recently I have the sudden impulses of freezing things. The creepier the cooler.

I just noticed that 15 pieces for my empire recital is not an hour long. So I listed the pieces to make it just a lil bit more than an hour. 26 pieces! So much. But who cares, its empire and I get to play the awesome Fazioli grand. Even tho its the lobby.

Daily Bugle:Been a long time.

Its been a long time since I updated. Blame the fuckin internet. Wait.... its my modem that broke down......Blame something else.

I've been so busy lately. I'm going to have a solo recital in EMPIRE HOTEL in the end of November. How ever, its at the lobby.

I also will be trying out AGAIN for 2012 Newington Colledge in australia scholarship.

And I might attend a Piano Workshop at the end of the year. MAYBE even perform.

Next year I also might be going to disney land for a performance. SO MANY THINGS TO DO!

Luckily all there are not many new pieces to do and the pieces I'm doing are all old. Meaning I'm experienced with it.

So confused..

Night stuff: Back from KK

Alrighty, I've been back from KK a while already. But the god damn internet won't let me update. Gods' punishing me. But I got in anyways =P.

My results are very very Decent.

ONE bronze.......ONE silver....... and

I feel proud of it. New trophies to my collections. This trip was actually less boring than I thought. Red bull from Brunei to KK and Livita from Brunei to KK. I slept very little.

Alright. I'm going to explain the comments the Examiner gave SHEENA WEE on her piano exam. I know she understand most of it. But she asked me to explain all anyways. SO..

Lets see.....

Exam A1: Your performance was rhythmic and fluent, though a little inclined to hurry: keep it steady! You incorporated some dynamic variety, but too many notes were detached for a feeling of elegance.

-This one very straight forward. It obviously meant you kept the time and tempo correctly. And there was no stop. You probably rushed a little bit. Dynamic variety. Dynamics are like F, P FF MP and so on. Meaning you showed it in your pieces correctly. But too many notes were detached for a feeling of elegance, simply means you didn't connect the notes right and made it sound separate and removed the feeling of smoothness.

Exam B3: You chose a good starting tempo, but again there was a sense of rushing - and you shortened bar 20. However, dynamics were well done, and it had some character.

-Its the same thing here. But let me explain character. Character is a property of the piece of music in which the imagination is interpreted. So what ever you are thinking or imagining which is incorporated in to your playing is your character. (the examiner said it had SOME character, I'm guessing you had very little in others xD)

AND THEN......

Exam C3: The performance was reliable though lacking in enough detached articulation much of the time. However, it was rhythmic and expressive, and tempo changes were excellent.

-A reliable performance is a performance that can be relied on to check dynamics, expression and articulation. So it means you done everything correctly. Detached articulation is simply staccato. I guess you understand everything else.

Scales and arpeggios: You responded promptly and knew the notes, though confused fingering caused the occasional stumble today. Tune was firm & consistent. LH C Minor arpeggio was hesitant.

-Ehhhhhhhhhh, it is very self explanatory.
p/s. I don't think it is tune. I should be tone. Tone means how secure your notes are and how well they are heard when played. Meaning all you notes had a firm and consistent intonation.

Sight-reading: The key was generally in place, and you read quite fluently. But a slower, consistent tempo would have enhanced it further!

-This one no need explanation.

Aural tests: Uncertain but correct in A, sometimes approximate in B today. Good in C but an error (dynamics) in test D.

-I doubt that you don't understand this. Lol

Sorry sheena for the really really long delay for this post. My internet sakai. + I forgot to save the draft.

Yesterday was keasha's birthday party. For the first time in my life i got sunburnt. But only at my feet. Strange.

I'm the dude with the bass next to the drummer. My feet got sunburnt because I was wearing slippers. And I got drenched completely in water.

I karate kicked Iqbal but Azmi dumped the water on me.

Street Tango

Just finished "De-classifying" the Street Tango by Piazzolla. Its a bit messy towards the end. But I think its awesome =P.

Took me months to finish it. Around two months. Mostly because I was lazy. Well it took me time to bake the idea and grow it. Its not a real piano thats heard in it. Garage band has a way of making pianos not so fake, yet not real. In the near future I'm going to record a Solo Piano Interpretation, A Duet Piano interpretation and the piano for this track.

Enjoy :)

This a nice portrait my sister drew. Well she got 70% around coz' the teacher thought she drew her. Anyways, this picture could be anything. I like it =P. It kinda look like the Red Queen from Alice in wonderland.

A few days ago. Me and sis found a polaroid. Found two actually. And they are cool. Polaroids are cool! Sad that the film are obsolete. But you can still buy them for a really really really high cut.

Today was a rainy day. And it rained from 12 pm till 9 PM. Damn, it was such a nice feeling

Looks epic. Its my neighborhood.

If only I had a better camera and a pro Flickr account. All would seem much nicer.

Evening Edition:The next big thing

September 4th and 5th is really close. Am I ready? No,not yet. But I will be. This competition to me is going to be a fun experience.

I received the Adjudicators Report from the Singapore Music fest. This is what they wrote.

Albert Tiu
Still waters-The 2nd time of the melody had better sound pronunciation and projection and especially in octaves. Perhaps                            attention to melodic sound can be more constant, as well as shaping,so that the water don't sound vertical and                          punched out. There was a good harmonic development and you obviously feel sincerely for this music.

Nostradamus-This kind of music is not bad, perhaps you should explore more serious music. You can learn more from the                                 study of music that have some more artistic nature.

Chopin-There was a sense of awareness of what this music is about. However, it needs to be backed up with some serious                     technical work in the left hand. Perhaps not too fast and no faking or cheating.

S.Joplin-Sometimes felt awkward with miss notes here and there, this needs more organisation.

Still waters-You were musical and expressive in this piece. But some wrist tension prevents your octaves from a total                                        technical proficiency:sound(as today) often becomes "locked" as a result. Work on eliminating  your arm                                      tension, also it will allow you to be more at ease with your intentions.

Nostradamus-You crafted a good sense of dram here. But some technical limitations occured today. You are a good                                               communicator, Samuel! Very expressive ending indeed!

Chopin-Good tempo, but the texture needs more clarity and unity of hands!Plenty of wrong notes(mostly in right hand) also                   occured today. Left hand was more clear than right hand overall! Don't forget-the melody is the priority in every                         piece of music!

Joplin-Some good stylistic and characteristic elements were present. You need to improve the overall textural clarity and                      technical security and thoughts.

Thats all. Some comments were negative, some positive but mostly educative. I may not have gotten a surprising or excellent result in this attempt at the Performer's Festival. But I've learnt a handful of things.

My result:BRONZE

Using this information,I'm going to "try" to knock their socks off in KK. Its extremely close.

Lets talk about time shall we.
Is Time Linear?

Time is a component of the measuring system used to sequence events, to compare the durations of events and the intervals between them, and to quantify the motions of objects. Time has been a major subject of religion, philosophy, and science, but defining it in a non-controversial manner applicable to all fields of study has consistently eluded the greatest scholars.

In physics as well as in other sciences, time is considered one of the few fundamental quantities. Time is used to define other quantities – such as velocity – and defining time in terms of such quantities would result in circularity of definition. An operational definition of time, wherein one says that observing a certain number of repetitions of one or another standard cyclical event (such as the passage of a free-swinging pendulum) constitutes one standard unit such as the second, is highly useful in the conduct of both advanced experiments and everyday affairs of life. The operational definition leaves aside the question whether there is something called time, apart from the counting activity just mentioned, that flows and that can be measured. Investigations of a single continuum called spacetime brings the nature of time into association with related questions into the nature of space, questions that have their roots in the works of early students of natural philosophy.

Among prominent philosophers, there are two distinct viewpoints on time. One view is that time is part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence. Time travel, in this view, becomes a possibility as other "times" persist like frames of a film strip, spread out across the time line. Sir Isaac Newton subscribed to this realist view, and hence it is sometimes referred to as Newtonian time. The opposing view is that time does not refer to any kind of "container" that events and objects "move through", nor to any entity that "flows", but that it is instead part of a fundamental intellectual structure (together with space and number) within which humans sequence and compare events. This second view, in the tradition of Gottfried Leibniz and Immanuel Kant, holds that time is neither an event nor a thing, and thus is not itself measurable nor can it be travelled.

Temporal measurement has occupied scientists and technologists, and was a prime motivation in navigation and astronomy. Periodic events and periodic motion have long served as standards for units of time. Examples include the apparent motion of the sun across the sky, the phases of the moon, the swing of a pendulum, and the beat of a heart. Currently, the international unit of time, the second, is defined in terms of radiation emitted by caesium atoms (see below). Time is also of significant social importance, having economic value ("time is money") as well as personal value, due to an awareness of the limited time in each day and in human life spans.

Source:Flickr, Credits to Philipp Klinger for this awesome picture.

Is time linear? I don't think so.It doesn't go easy on you. So I think you shouldn't go to easy on it as well.

Here's something to leave you guys since I haven't posted in a while.

And to the left you will see the bottom of a zombie. Zombies are awesome! They strip!

I"m just joking. They're awesome, but  they don't strip. But the situation here is not stripping, these are hospital patients. And if you look carefully its LEFT 4 DEAD.

My xBox 360 has been gone for awhile and I haven't played Left 4 dead in awhile. SO SAD!

But whatever, zombies are awesome and will remain so in my heart.

Everyday I drink tea. Because my dad bought a hell loada teas.

Sorry , my dad bought ton's of tea leaves***

So everyday we drink tea. Different , different, different kinds of tea.

As you can see, not only did he buy tea leaves, he also bought tea pots. Which looks like the one in hotels where did keep milk in to pour in to your tea.

Who keeps MILK in a TEA pot? 7 star hotels. 7 out of 5 stars! Dang! Ridiculous!

IT rained beautifully today. Although clearly in the picture its not raining. Trust me, it was raining. Sunny day, then all of a sudden, pitter patter. Rain!

I'll also let you guys see how long my printed sheet music are. They're longer than my stair case. My stair case is around 14 steps! Only one song!

Thats a thing I Illustrated with Adobe Illustrator. First I drew it on my Student Diary(the shitty one). It said "MY diary Rocks, But yours doesnt". Then I drew stickmen on it. Then I had this weird idea of Illustrating it.

Its Kinda messy. But whatever. It looks cool to me.

I also find out that blogger will only upload images around 1mb fast. The picture above was 7mb and it took me ages to find out that I should shrink it. Oh well, If you want the full quality , you can get me =P.

These days very boring ah. I found Nice pictures from Yousof's tumblr.

This one's Really cool. Really gets me there.

This one is cool too. I wrote it all in a book which I wrote nice stuff.

I really have to say, time moves faster then a ninja sword.
